Cannot set a date or time value to null using the suggestion dropdown

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a table with a column of type date or time.
2. Create a record and set a value for the date or time column.
3. Try to set the value to null using the Null suggestion in the dropdown.

Expected behavior

The value is set to null without errors.

Actual behavior

Setting the value to null fails and an error message is displayed.

I think the problem is that it tries to set NULL using single quotes, like this:

update "todo"
set
  "test_date" = 'NULL'
where
  "id" = 28

If you simply delete the content of the date or time field and then save, it works as expected.
